Ditch # 119
In 2003, Polk County Ditch 119 was transferred to the Sand Hill River Watershed District. At that time, Ditch 119 extended from the NE ¼ of Section 26 of Russia Township, west until outletting into Polk County Ditch 6 in the NE ¼ of Section 29 of Hammond Township. The total channel length was approximately 9 miles. Ditch 119 is in the south road ditch of County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 41.
In 2005, the establishment of SHRWD Project 17 used the downstream 5.3 miles of the Ditch 119 channel, from just west of the MN State Highway 9 crossing downstream to its outlet at Ditch 6. The current extents of Ditch 119 now begin in the NE ¼ of Section 26 of Russia Township, and flows west until outletting into the SHRWD Project 17 channel just west of Highway 9 in the NW ¼ of Section 29 of Russia Township.
