    Stuart Christian,
    Chairman
    Stuart Christian is self-employed. He enjoys spending time with his wife Penny and their 4 daughters, Kalie, Andrea, Mariah, and Natalie. They enjoyed the outdoors and take advantage of skiing, snowmobiling and all lake activities.  Manager Christian has been involved in the Sand Hill River Watershed District since 1999 and enjoys working with public issues and meeting with civic leaders. As chairman Christian also serves on the Personnel Committee.

    Don Andringa
    Manager

    Don Andringa has farmed wheat, soybeans, and raises sugar beets South of Crookston since 1974. He is married to JoAnn, and they share three sons, Joel, Dan, & John.

    Don enjoys motorcycling, boating and just being outdoors. He has always had an interest in the roles of the watershed. He recently moved his residence within the Sand Hill River Waterhsed District boundaries and is looking forward to the opportunity to serve. Don began his service in 2021. As Vice-Chairman Christian also serves on the Personnel Committee. He also serves as Chairman of the One Watershed One Plan Policy Committee.

    Shawn brekke,
    Secretary
    Shawn Brekke joined the watershed board in January of 2023. He is a 5th generation Brekke to farm on the family farm near Nielsville where they produced soy beans, sugar beets, and spring wheat. Before serving on the Sand Hill River Watershed District, he served as a Township Officer for Hubbard Township for ten years. He spends his spare time watching his son Logan play sports, and enjoys snowmobiling him in the winter.

    Clayton Bartz,
    Treasurer
    Clayton Bartz and his wife Carol farm Southeast of McIntosh raising beef cattle, wheat and soybeans. Clayton has three sons and one grandson. He enjoys helping his sons with different projects. As a former FSA committee member, he has worked on many farm regulations which has also included wetlands. On the Sand Hill River Watershed board he looks forward to working on water quality and other issues.

    Craig Engelstad
    MANAGER
    Craig Engelstad and his wife Cindy farm near Fertile, MN and have three children and three grandchildren. The Engelstad's enjoy spending time with family and pursuing antique malls and flea markets. Engelstad began his first term as a manger in 2020 and looks forward to learning the ins and outs of the watershed board. Engelstad says serving a community need makes being a Sand Hill Watershed representative worth while and enjoys being able to work in an area of interest.
